RDA Boosting Life Of Bridges,Roads-RDA Boss

The Road Development Agency-RDA has embarked on improving the conditions of bridges and road infrastructure across the country.

RDA director and chief executive officer Elias Mwape disclosed that the Agency will partner with an American corporation, ACROW in implementing some of the projects which will improve the transport network in the country.

Mr. Mwape says ACROW bridge project, awarded to ACROW Corporation of America will replace old culverts, avail new bridges and maintain them in all provinces.

He said the Agency hopes to see a reduction in of disruption of traffic flow which negatively impacts on the economic activities.

Mr Mwape was speaking during a training workshop for local contractors by ACROW Corporation in Lusaka.

He further implored local contractors to take advantage of the seven days training workshop.

Meanwhile, ACROW Corporation has agreed to train RDA personnel and other local contractors in the assembly and installation of bridges which have been supplied to RDA.

ACROW president for International Business Bridges-USA, Paul Sulivan has committed to share knowledge with Local engineers in order to see quality in the bridges being installed across the country.
