LEDNOVA – A Robust and Versatile LED Bulkhead Range

The LEDNOVA range sets a benchmark in lighting for industrial applications. This locally designed and manufactured LED luminaire offers optimal photometric performance and high reliability to reduce energy consumption and maintenance in all types of lighting applications. It is designed to replace conventional HID and CFL bulkhead luminaires, whilst achieving great energy savings and a long useful lifetime even in demanding environments, which include high vibration areas.

The LEDNOVA range compromises of the Mini version with a nominal flux of up to 7676lm, and the Midi version with a nominal flux of up to 10235lm. It is manufactured from marine grade high-pressure die-cast aluminium (EN 1706 AC-44300), making it suitable for use in various environments, which include outdoor mining areas, oil and gas refineries, food and beverage plants, manufacturing process plants and any application that requires robust and well-built luminaires. The LEDNOVA range has been developed considering our clients’ requirements, offering excellent performance using a unique optical system combined with a high colour rendering, thus ensuring good quality of light for each unique environment.

This industrial luminaire range is ideal for general lighting, security lighting, and many other applications, delivering instant white light with a high colour rendering index and 100% light output. The slim and unique design is optimising the thermal dissipation to enable a long useful lifetime and low maintenance. The LEDNOVA range is designed to accommodate various mounting options. It can be installed in hazardous environments (Zone 2 and 21/22), and it offers an integrated battery system for emergency lighting applications.

The design of the LEDNOVA makes this LED bulkhead particularly suitable for the challenging African environments. The robust design and the use of high quality components make this luminaire last in any harsh and vibrating condition to which it is exposed. The luminaire has been designed to operate in very high ambient environments. If the maximum ambient temperature is exceeded, the electronic temperature monitoring prevents overheating of the LEDs and power supply within the LED compartment (ThermiX®). To maximize the reliability of the LEDs, the photometric engine and control gear compartment are completely sealed to IP 66. This ensures that the photometric performance is maintained over time. The LEDNOVA offers flexible combinations of LED arrays, combined with various photometric distributions (LensoFlex®2) and dimming control options to further maximise energy savings and reduce maintenance costs.

This luminaire has passed all field tests in various applications, which makes us confident in stating that the LEDNOVA is the right product for all industrial applications.

Numerous options are available, some of which are listed below:

  • Integrated movement sensor
  • Surge protection up to 20kV/20kA
  • Controllable stand-alone dimming
  • High-impact polycarbonate (IK 10) protector
  • Emergency lighting version
  • Teflon coating for very harsh chemical applications
