Karam Africa Launches New Fall Arrest Harnesses for Women

Karam Africa is proud to announce the launch of its new range of fall arrest harnesses specifically designed for women. This marks a significant step in Karam’s ongoing commitment to supporting women in traditionally male-dominated sectors.

“We are thrilled to introduce this pioneering product line, further enhancing our dedication to women in the industry.” Women deserve harnesses tailored to their anatomy, rather than adaptations of male designs. We are immensely proud to launch this product” said Gary Smith, CEO for Karam Africa.

Karam Africa’s new range for women includes three different harnesses:

  • Gamma – PN 22 (W): Features three adjustment points on the shoulder, chest, and thigh straps, along with two chest attachment points with textile loops.
  • Beta – PN 42 (03) (W): Includes four adjustment points on the shoulder, chest, thigh straps, and waist belt, and offers three attachment points: dorsal, sternal, and lateral.
  • Alpha – Magna 1(W): Equipped with a dorsal attachment D-ring and two front attachment textile loops for fall arrest. It also features fully padded and adjustable shoulder straps designed to reduce irritation from sweat.

“As more women enter industrial roles traditionally dominated by men, it is crucial to provide gender-specific safety gear that acknowledges anatomical differences,” Gary Smith added.

The new harnesses are now available for order through leading PPE distributors. To view the full range, click here.
