Specially designed to support engineers, maintenance professionals and customers, this powerful resource, which replaced the previous-generation tool, LubeSelect, enables users to make fast, accurate and confident lubrication decisions.
“Although LubeSelect has a proven track record of supporting users in selecting the optimal bearing grease for their applications, the introduction of new greases and evolving industry needs made it increasingly challenging to maintain and update the tool,” explains Eddie Martens, SKF Product Manager – MaPro.
Building on the proven performance of the predecessor tool, SKF developed Product Select to better support customers and internal teams. This next generation Bearing Grease Selection Tool offers a streamlined interface and seamless integrated solution that combines technical depth with an intuitive, modern and more efficient user experience. Now fully embedded into the SKF Product Select ecosystem, it is no longer a standalone tool; however, it can still be used independently for individual calculations.
Martens emphasises that while grease selection might seem like a small detail in bearing maintenance, it is in fact one of the most critical factors influencing performance and reliability. “Improper grease choice remains a major cause of premature bearing failure, often leading to costly downtime and maintenance that affects the bottom line.
