South Africa: Electra Mining Africa 2022: Specially formulated drill thread grease from FUCHS

An extreme performance drill thread grease optimised for use in hard and soft rock drilling in specialty quarry equipment is available from FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA. This specially formulated drill thread grease protects threaded connections from wear, seizing, and galling.

Proven in the most arduous environments, RENOLIT DTG BLUE is a calcium complex grease with an extreme temperature range of up to 1 100°C. It is suitable for all thread types and is blue in colour to provide ease of application, explains Dave Gons, National Sales Manager, Mining and Regional Mining Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa at FUCHS LUBRICANTS SOUTH AFRICA.

FUCHS LUBRICANTS has been a trusted partner of the global mining industry for more than 85 years. Its comprehensive range of lubricants for surface and underground applications meets extreme demands. The range not only boosts equipment life but improves the health and safety for operators and other mine workers.

The mining industry is an important growth area for the supplier in South Africa, not only in terms of products, but in servicing the centralised lubrication systems deployed by large mining operations. It has a sales and service division, each with its own specific focus. “The aim is to provide our mining clients with complete solutions for their lubricant requirements,” says Dave.

Products for the mining industry include RENOLIT greases for permanent and long-term lubrication for high performance, reliability, and process compatibility, and RENOLIN industrial oils for diverse applications from hydraulic oils to turbine oils.
